A few words from the new U.S. EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt

On March 28, U.S. EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt made a remark that I found quite refreshing.

"We are going to provide regulatory certainty," Pruitt said, while announcing President Trump’s Energy Independence Executive Order.

What’s so refreshing about that? For starters, it is a significant change in tone for how the federal government has been regulating power producers.

Callers threaten to disconnect services unless they receive payment

FRANKFORT, Ky. (2017) — Attorney General Andy Beshear issued a Scam Alert to warn Kentuckians of con artists pretending to be utility company employees. The scam has largely targeted small-business owners and senior citizens.

The scammers claim to represent the customer’s utility company, saying they are collecting payment for an overdue bill. Customers are threatened with having their service disconnected if they do no pay immediately.

Inter-County Energy joins American Red Cross to improve emergency response services.

Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives provide disaster relief vehicle/trailer.

Inter-County Energy and Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives are partnering with the American Red Cross to improve emergency response services in Kentucky. The cooperatives have joined together to acquire a new disaster relief vehicle, trailer and resources that can be deployed to provide aid.

PSC Approves 60-Acre Cooperative Solar Facility

EKPC’s proposal to build a 60-acre solar farm in Clark County, Ky., was approved Tuesday by the Kentucky Public Service Commission.
